Photography Plan for Magazine

                                                             Photography Plan

 Call time: 11:00
 Wrap time: 11:20
My first draft photo-shoot for my magazine

The props that was needed for this photo shot was a grey top and the use of lighting.
People of interest were, Me as the director and photographer, Michelle Petty held and ensured the lighting was accurate, and lastly Aadam Sheilkh who was my model.
The lighting was of my own, therefore was provided at my house where the photo shot took place.
After I had taken multiple images I finally was able to pick the image that I felt was best suiting for my magazine. The first photo I took had good eye contact and the lighting help add to the natural yet uniform image I wanted to bring across. The chose that image out of the rest because I found the rest either had no eye contact or I felt that his positioning with his body was less engaging than the first photo taken. This shall be my final image for my magazine as there is little editing to be made I will simply touch up on his imperfections.

My second photo- shoot which will be featured in my reel.
This is going to be featured alongside my other images in my reel that I hope to create across my magazine cover, I wanted my film trailer to be next to the other images again to create a uniform feel. As this is a teaser seek peek of what is to come within the trailer it was vital that  the image had mystery and the theme of illusion, the lack of identity knowledge was what was needed as my plot is based around that theme. When it came to choosing my final image I chose my final shot because I felt it had confusion and mystery to the image. The other photos taken were too bright or too dark which didn't create enough of a thriller/ Sci-fi appeal to it. In terms of improving this if the photo from colour to all change the shade of the photo from colour to black and white to add an even more thriller vibe to the photograph.

Featuring Photos

I was lucky enough to be able to visit a blacksmiths, I chose this to be my location because I felt that it was most appropriate for the film magazine as the man within my photo has an evil appearance that felt best suited. I chose this to be my final image as it was effective and eye catching for an magazine.

Here I needed another image for my photo reel therefore I had taken images of the sky in order to create a explosion. This was my final chosen image for my to use within my magazine.

I manipulated my image by using photo-shoot tools to darken out the houses, this was done in order to create a mystery atmosphere to the over all image. I then implanted an image from google images of an explosion and placed it into the sky.

However, when I used these images for my magazine cover I discovered that I they did not have the professional appearance that I was hoping for, firstly my photo of Aadam did not suit nor stand out to me or others for that matter as a 'film' image. Thereby I changed my main image to a blacksmith that I was able to visit and took a photo, again once I uploaded the photo found the main image to be of poor quality, although it had a film appearance to it, the quality drew away from the affect of the image and therefore I felt the need to change my image once more.

No props needed, and make up and clothes chosen where a white scarf, pink lipstick and hair loosely tied to the back with strands falling down behind her back and lastly lighting done by Michelle petty.

This was my final image, as the model has a somewhat Victorian appearance which looks cinematic and professional.

                                                      Second photo-shoot for magazine.

My final chosen image is the one as selected below, I found this image to work well for my magazine cover and had a high quality and displayed her features, alongside this the lighting quality was at its best as it was not too dark, or too light.
